Removed the upper cabinets and disconnected the stove.
Ready to start Demo!My next target.Cabinets and backsplash removed.All done for the day.

Lower cabinets and sink removed. Ready for more demolition.

I'm trying to convince Monique that this is going to be a new trend, I call it the Rustic-Third-World-Look.


It's fully loaded, it has cold and hot water, even a garbage disposal!

All done for today. Wall behind stove ready to be removed and ready to put in the larger window.





Today Don came over and helped me knock down the internal wall. Before and after pictures. The new window comes in on Tuesday.

I cut a hole to see what is inside. Looks like an exhaust vent for a wood burning stove.

Mud and tape complete. Need to do the arch and final coat.

I I started to tear out the old floor.


Old floor removed and ready for new sub-floor.

Floor is installed. Now just need to pick the right color stain!
Decided to rip out the basement stairs.

And the three steps leading into the kitchen have to come out.
